These days YouTube is the TV set of the present and the future with a blast from the past starring me! Some twenty years ago I was a host of a program on the Cable Value Network where I had an on-air accident that has recently appeared as a popular blooper on YouTube, with a remix version, and a few other video clip sites from around the world. One site is written in Italian where I am known as Il presentatore Harold McCoo della TV Cable Value Network - CVN - (un po’ il Giorgio Mastrota americano). I have not had so much attention in years.

    I want to thank the many who have shown concern about me. Twenty years later I am  in excellent health which I attribute to exercise and proper nutrition. Many have posted complimentary comments calling me “a home shopping legend, a true professional, a smooth salesman, and one of the coolest people they ever met”. Thank You All! I have to admit that then I possessed a work ethic taught from my parents that I have tried to continue to this day.

    Some misconceptions are that I was hurt. One comment was from someone who did not know what they were talking about when they stated, “He knocked out all of his front teeth and required 18 stitches to repair his torn lips”. So not true. From what I recall  the network called 911 and I was taken to the hospital for observation. Fortunately I was OK. Though I landed on a concrete floor from seven feet in the air, I was young and athletic enough to take a licking and keep on ticking.
